Chairman and Founder Director Ian Hatton said “in line with our strategy to accelerate the delivery of affordable energy for Vietnam from blue-water offshore wind, we have engaged Société Générale as lead advisor at the very outset of the development process ”.

Mr. Allan Baker

Allan Baker, Global Head of Power & Oil and Gas for Société Générale said “We believe that the Ke Ga offshore wind project has huge significance for the energy transition in Vietnam and will also position Vietnam as a key offshore wind development hub for the wider region. The mandate further illustrates Société Générale’s strong focus on renewable energy across the Asia Pacific region, including in new markets and for new asset classes.”

Enterprize Energy is a Singapore-based Anglo-Asian low carbon energy company with operations in Taiwan, Vietnam and the United Kingdom.

Société Générale has been supporting the financing of renewable energy for more than ten years and is today counted among the global leaders in this sector as evidenced by being awarded Global Financial Advisor of the Year by PFI for 2018, the second time in three years, and our #2 Global Financial Advisor ranking for renewables by IJ in 2018. The bank is also one of the few institutions to have a truly global footprint in offshore wind, having advised and financed the first offshore wind transaction in the US (Block Island) and participated in the first offshore wind financing in Taiwan, in addition to our very successful European advisory and lending franchise.

The Ke Ga Project is a phased development of 3,400 MW of ‘blue-water’ offshore wind energy within a 2,000 square kilometre zone between 20 and 50 km off the coast of Bin Thuan Province, Vietnam.

Vietsovpetro and PVC-MS have been appointed to design and fabricate offshore structures for the Ke Ga Zone. MVOW has been selected to supply wind turbine technology for Ke Ga.

On January 22nd 2019 Enterprize received direction from the Office of the Prime Minister to proceed with preparation of the Ke Ga Project for inclusion in Vietnam’s National Power Development Plan.
